Learning from Nepal and the Philippines showing MMH as used in the Covid-19 context, as part of the Hygiene Behaviour Change Coalition, created by Unilever and the UK government. The programme evolved to include men and other caregivers.

MMH Pre-test Findings Presentation
Pretesting of the MMH approach including the resources and assets was done in Za-atari camp, Jordan and Bidibidi settlement, Uganda in 2017 where results show the materials and activities influenced handwashing practices among caregivers.

Report on first field trails of MMH programme (Jordan & Uganda)
Following the development of MMH programme, field trials were carried out in Jordan and Uganda where findings demonstrate that mothers as caregivers to children resonated to the story and it influenced handwashing practices.

Findings from MMH field trials in Nepal, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Pakistan and Bangladesh between 2017 and 2019 demonstrate that using emotional motivators significantly improves handwashing practices among mothers as caregivers.
